Cookie policy

1. Which cookies do we use?

uo_session: keeps you logged in. Strictly necessary. Contains only a random key, no personal data. Valid until you log out, for at most 30 days. Only set when you log in.

uithoorn-locale: remembers whether you want the site in Dutch or English. Functional. Only set when you switch language yourself. Kept for 1 year.

We also keep a few things only in your own browser. Temporarily (sessionStorage, cleared when you close the tab): whether you closed the ad and whether a business page was already counted. Until you clear them (localStorage): a draft of your job if you need to sign in on the way (cleared after sending), your recent searches on this site, and whether you view building materials as a list or as tiles. These are not cookies, they are never sent to us, and they only make the site work the way you use it. You can clear them in your browser settings.

2. Statistics without cookies

We count visitors with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and does not follow visitors across other websites; no personal profile is built. On our own server we also count events, such as a posted job, anonymously, without IP addresses or other identifiers.

3. Third-party cookies

We use no advertising, tracking or social media cookies. When you follow a link to another site, such as a business’s website, that site’s own rules apply.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block functional cookies, you can’t log in and your language choice won’t be remembered.

If we ever use cookies that need consent, we will ask for it first and update this policy.
